Bottega Veneta is returning to its New Exposure photography contest, launched last year with the aim of discovering the next generation of photographers. This year, submissions are now open to submissions from around the world. The winner will receive a $10,000 prize and training with artist management agency Art + Commerce and Vogue's Director of Photography, Ivan Shaw. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to work as a photographer on an exclusive Bottega Veneta project to be announced later this year. To submit, submit a PDF portfolio of 12 to 20 fashion photos to newexposurepromo@vogue.com by July 10. Judging will take place in late July, with 10 finalists selected. The winners will have until the end of summer to submit a project. Following judging, the grand prize winner will be announced during New York Fashion Week in September.
The judges include the brand's creative director Tomas Maier, Ivan Shaw, supermodel Linda Evangelista, fashion editor and stylist Carlene Cerf de Deuxir, photographers Corriere Shore and Craig McDean, makeup artist Pat McGrath, Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute curator Andrew Bolton, Visionary's creative director Doug Lloyd, hairstylist Guido Palau, art dealer Yossi Miro, and Art + Commerce co-founder Jimmy Moffatt.
This year's awards also include a public vote, where the public can vote via social media for the 10 finalists. The winner of this fan vote will receive a special prize.
