The Digital Fashion Creator Association (DFACA) is launching a "Digital Fashion Creator Development Course" with the aim of cultivating creators who can express their analog sensibilities while using digital technology as a tool. Applications are now open for the third basic course, which will be held at Grand Front Osaka's Knowledge Capital, which opened in April.
Even in the fashion industry, where sensibility is valued, the use of IT is becoming essential. With digital draping and pattern creation, 3D try-on simulations, and CG fashion shows, ever-evolving digital technology is transforming production processes and promotional methods. By acquiring IT skills, we aim to cultivate creators who are ready for the next generation.
In this third course, participants will learn about planning, design, and manufacturing, incorporating traditional fashion techniques and digital technology, from 3D clothing production to digital fashion shows, at Grand Front Osaka's Knowledge Capital, a renowned industry-government-academia collaborative research facility that opened in April of this year.
The course we are currently recruiting for is "Manufacturing Basic Process," in which participants will learn draping for each item, creating digital patterns, and dressing using CG, as well as acquiring basic knowledge about clothing and the basic operation of digital tools.
