Knowledge Capital, the central facility of Umekita Grand Front Osaka, opened on April 26th.
This complex aims to create "new value" through the fusion of sensibility and technology. Knowledge = knowledge (information). It brings together ordinary people, engineers, companies, universities, and research institutions, and the exchange of knowledge and information is attracting attention as a new attempt to create unprecedented products, services, and human resources.
The complex includes "The Lab. Let's All Be the World's Best Laboratory," an interactive facility where visitors can see, touch, experience, and discuss cutting-edge technology; the "Future Life Showroom," a communication space for companies and visitors; and the 381-seat multi-purpose theater "Knowledge Theater." Through restaurants, shops, and events, children and adults alike can learn, play, and have fun. Other facilities include the "Knowledge Salon," a members-only networking salon for businesspeople, researchers, creators, and others to meet and interact across disciplines; the "Collaboration Office" (small, rentable spaces) and "Collaboration Office nx," a space for next-generation talent; and the "Knowledge Office," an office space for universities, research institutions, and companies actively involved in industry-government-academia collaboration projects to create innovation. Communicators are also on hand to connect participants and visitors. To celebrate the opening of Knowledge Capital, the B1F Event Lab will be hosting "THE World's Best Exhibition" until September 1st. The 4F Knowledge Theater will host a robot-themed theatrical performance of "Night on the Galactic Railroad" from May 2nd to 12th, followed by a special exhibition featuring the "Beicho Ichimonkai" and "Beicho Android" on May 19th.
