This year's 66th edition kicked off with the premiere of "The Great Gabby," starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan, at the pre-event screening on May 15th.

Mulligan appeared on the red carpet in a pale pink couture dress by Dior. Her Tiffany & Co. earrings, measuring over 5 carats, are said to be worth over 100 million yen in Japanese yen.

Nicole Kidman, a member of the festival's jury and set to star in "Grace of Monaco," a film about the life of the late Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco, also wore a Dior dress. The 45-year-old star actress's floral motif, expressing grace and charm, complemented her striking coral pink shoes.
