Garden stylist Satoshi Kawamoto and fashion stylist Yuka Maruyama talk event held at Daikanyama TSUTAYA

May 17, 2013

To celebrate the publication of "Deco Room with Plants—Creating Your Own Interior Style with Plants," which was released in March, a talk event featuring author Satoshi Kawamoto and stylist Yuka Maruyama will be held at Daikanyama T-Site.

Kawamoto founded Green Fingers in 2002, operating four different types of shops in Daikanyama, Aoyama, and other areas. A garden stylist who advocates for the inherent natural beauty and aging of greenery through her unique styling. Her activities span a wide range of genres, including magazine serials, in-store workshops, and spatial styling for department stores.

In recent years, she has pioneered a field that enriches and brings people closer to the relationship with greenery. She also operates the wedding brand "FORQUE," which offers total coordination, from head dresses, corsages, and hats made with authentic materials such as preserved and dried flowers to arrangements and decorations.

The guest in this discussion will be Maruyama Yuka, who has worked on numerous fashion magazines, including Figaro Japon, Shupeur, and Elle Girl, as well as in advertisements and as stylist for artists. The two will discuss the themes of "fashion" and "green."

In addition, prior to the event, a green display styled by Kawamoto will be set up inside Tsutaya Books, and a talk is also planned.
