ELLE introduces coordinating app iQON

Apr 26, 2013

On the 26th, ELLE SHOP, an online store operated by Hearst Fujingaho Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo), introduced a coordination image creation function for the fashion coordination app "iQON."

ELLE SHOP, which sells items selected by fashion editors, has opened an official account on iQON and will publish coordination images created by the editors on iQON. These images will be posted on ELLE SHOP, and users can transition to the product page with just one click from the coordination image, which is expected to increase user traffic on the site.

This initiative responds to the growing need for coordination suggestions from users in the apparel e-commerce industry. ZOZOTOWN, another major apparel e-commerce site, launched coordination suggestions from shop staff last month. Hiroki Kanayama, CEO of VASILY, the company that provides iQON, said, "The ELLE Shop has been posting items and running contests since the early days of the iQON service. We are considering collaborating with ELLE magazine and also actively pursuing collaborations with other e-commerce sites." The company also recently announced a partnership with YOOX, the world's largest fashion e-commerce company headquartered in Italy. This partnership allows users to create outfits on iQON, primarily from international brands popular with women in their 20s and 30s. iQON is an online application that allows users to freely combine registered fashion items to create and post outfits, and also enjoy interacting with other users. It has 2 million monthly visitors, primarily young women. More than 1,000 outfits are posted daily, with a total of over 400,000 outfits published to date.
