Motoko Kusanagi descends on Lumine Man Shibuya. "Ghost in the Shell ARISE" collaboration event held

May 29, 2013

Lumine Man Shibuya is hosting a collaboration event with the popular anime "Ghost in the Shell Arise," titled "Lumine Man x Ghost in the Shell Arise," from next month 1st to July 11th. Ahead of the film's theatrical release on June 22nd, original artwork panels from the film will be on display inside the building. Other exhibits include outdoor advertisements incorporating the artwork, as well as posters featuring the robot "Logicoma" from the film wearing items from eyewear shop JINS, men's bag brand Masterpiece Product, and apparel shop RECORD. Additionally, for a limited time until the 6th, the select shop Revelations will be displaying a Logicoma figurine. The main visual for the event was created by Production I.G, led by the new film's general director, Kazuchika Kise. The image depicts the work's character Motoko Kusanagi and the new robot Logicoma descending upon Shibuya Lumine Man. This visual will be used on the original clear file folders that change weekly with purchases of 5,000 yen or more during the campaign period, as well as on posters in the station. Lumine actively collaborates with anime and manga. Lumine Est and Lumine Man Shibuya collaborated with the popular TV anime series "K-ON!" in the fall of 2011. They also collaborated with "Rebuild of Evangelion" twice, once in the fall of 2010 and again last fall ahead of the release of "Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo." Lumine Tachikawa is also collaborating with the comedy manga "Saint Young Men" (published by Kodansha), which is currently being shown in theaters and is set in Tachikawa, and is holding a panel exhibition.
