Renoma, celebrating its 50th anniversary in October, will open a "Renoma Pop-Up Store" on the first basement floor of the United Arrows Harajuku Men's Building from the 11th to the 29th.
The store will release a 50th anniversary collection. Renoma jackets and blousons favored by Serge Gainsbourg, John Lennon, and Andy Warhol have been recreated in a modern style in collaboration with United Arrows. New street-inspired items such as sweatshirts, T-shirts, and caps will be added to convey a new era of Renoma style.
Renoma was founded by designer Maurice Renoma. On October 22, 1963, the brand opened a boutique called "White House" in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. Renoma gained fame in Europe in the 1960s and 1970s for its innovative style, and began expanding globally in the 1980s. Since the 2000s, the company has opened cafe galleries mainly in Asia, including China, Korea, Malaysia, and Singapore. Its client list includes Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Yves Saint Laurent, Catherine Deneuve, and Brigitte Bardot. To commemorate its 50th anniversary, the company will exhibit its archive collection and publish a book on Renoma through the French publishing house Martinière.
