On October 2nd, the Isetan Matsudo store, which has been undergoing a phased remodeling process, held its grand opening. The opening ceremony was attended by Matsudo Mayor Kenji Hongoya, Matsudo City Council Chairman Hidetaka Nakagawa, and ozeki Kisenosato of the Naruto stable, who is based in Matsudo.

Mitsukoshi Isetan Holdings President Hiroaki Onishi said in his opening remarks, "This store has been beloved by local residents for nearly 40 years since its opening in 1974, and now we have renovated it for the first time in 20 years. However, what is important is that our employees work closely with each and every customer and sincerely meet their expectations."

The store targets not only the baby boomer generation, but also the growing number of families in the area, and aims to become a new business model for regional department stores supported by three generations of parents and children, based on the slogan "children in the middle."
