French cosmetics brand Lancôme has announced that Hollywood actress Lily Collins has been appointed its newest ambassador. Collins will serve as the brand's muse for the brand's spring collection, "Satin Rose," which will be released in January 2014.

Collins was born in England in 1989 and raised in the United States. Her father is musician Phil Collins and her grandmother is a ballerina. After studying journalism, she made her acting debut in the 2009 film "The Blind Side," co-starring with Sandra Bullock. That same year, she co-starred with Julia Roberts in "Mirror Mirror." Next year, she is scheduled to appear in the romantic comedy "Love, Rosie."
