Isetan Shinjuku is hosting a pop-up event for French shoe brand SARTRE in the women's shoe promotion space on the second floor. The event runs until October 15th. The venue is modeled after the flagship store, which opened last spring on Rue Saint-Notré in Paris. The Paris flagship store, designed by architect Laurent Abecassis and his sister, features a triptych, a lamp by Patrick Jouin, a sofa by Campana Brothers, and a sculptural chair by Spanish designer Jaime Hayon. The pop-up event offers a wide variety of shoes, from classic long boots to short boots and flats. Customers who spend over ¥50,000 (tax included) during the event will receive a free boot keeper. Advance orders for the long boots from the 2014 Spring/Summer collection are also being accepted until the 15th. Made from high-quality calf leather using the Black Rapid method, these boots are durable and comfortable to walk in. Available in three colors, they are priced at ¥147,000. Sartre was founded in France in 1978 by sisters Françoise and Catherine Sartre, who were born into a family that ran a shoe workshop. Their riding boots, made with skilled craftsmanship, have gained a reputation and are now sold in many department stores and select shops in Japan.
