D-BROS, a product brand developed by design company Draft Inc., will open its Ginza store on the fourth floor of GINZA SIX, a shopping mall scheduled to open in Tokyo's Ginza district on April 20th.
D-BROS is a brand that develops unique design products, such as interior tools and tableware, inspired by the unique ideas of graphic designers. The newly opened Ginza store will feature a new collection themed around "Traditional Japanese Culture."
The store design incorporates traditional Japanese architectural styles, such as timber frames and joints, to convey traditional techniques. As a unique initiative, the store will offer a collection that utilizes traditional Japanese techniques cultivated since ancient times and D-BROS's graphic design. The first collection will feature 55 items in nine series, including the "KAMON" series, which focuses on family crests, the origin of Japanese graphic design, and the "BENTO" series, which adds ideas to the "bento" lunch box, which is filled with Japanese food culture and aesthetic sense. Also, at the opening, the "KAMON" series will be releasing the "KAMON Family Crest Book Special Edition" (500,000 yen/limited to 50 copies), which contains 350 family crests selected from the approximately 20,000 existing family crests, and the "BENTO" series will be releasing the "BENTO Lunch Box" (from 27,000 yen), a copper lunch box inspired by tea caddies, as well as the "BUNKOBAKO Lacquerware Morning Glory" (150,000 yen), which is made with lavish use of lacquer, a traditional Japanese craft, in limited quantities.
