Toray Diplomode has opened the first Japanese street-level store for New York brand Vince. in Omotesando, Tokyo (4-11-11 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku).
The store is the brand's first flagship store outside the United States. The 144.74-square-meter store, featuring an exposed concrete exterior, echoes the image of the brand's new store that opened in New York's SoHo district in August. The interior features white oak flooring, bleached African mahogany wallpaper, mannequins displayed in sculptural cubes, and bronze-framed hanger racks.
The women's 2013-14 Autumn/Winter and Holiday collections are currently available. The full line includes shearling and ponytail outerwear, leather and suede leggings, cashmere sweaters, and silk tops. This marks the first time women's shoes are available in Japan. The lineup includes boots, pumps, casual shoes, and suede slip-ons.
To commemorate the opening, a novelty gift campaign is being held until October 31st. Customers who spend over 31,500 yen will receive a "Favorite Tank" tank top, a classic item from the brand.
The brand plans to actively open stores in department stores and other locations in the future.
