On the fourth floor of the Dior Omotesando store (5-9-11 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), an installation by Dior Homme creative director Kris Van Assche and the artist duo M/M Paris, consisting of Michael Amzalag and Mathias Augustyniak, is on display until October 20th.
The exhibition, held in conjunction with the reopening of the Dior Homme Omotesando store in the basement, was inspired by the brand's Spring 2014 collection catalog, photographed by photographer Karim Sadli on the Corsica coast.
The exhibition, which combines square frames with abstract paintings, displays items from the Spring 2014 collection, which was released worldwide first. Inspired by Art Basel in Miami, wallets (88,200 yen, 80,850 yen) featuring patterns inspired by the works of Jackson Pollock are also on sale for a limited time to commemorate the opening.
On the opening day, Kris Van Assche and M/M Paris also came to Japan from Paris. Actress Sumire and model Ayana Miyamoto were also invited to enjoy the reception party.
