Dec 21, 2012

The United Nude pop-up shop at Isetan Shinjuku is currently exhibiting works from past projects. The collaboration with London brand Iris Van Herpen is particularly well-known for being worn by Lady Gaga. In addition to the shoes, the pop-up shop also features a Lamborghini Countach model (from the "Lo Res Project") reinterpreted using the Lo Res (low resolution) design method, and the "Flat Pack Shoes," a product of an experimental project with Spanish performance artist Alicia Framis based on the concept of "living on the moon." Iris Van Herpen is a Dutch fashion brand. Designer Iris Van Herpen was born in the Netherlands in 1984 and studied fashion design at ARTEZ (Arnhem Visual Arts Academy) in Arnhem, Netherlands. He then gained experience at Alexander McQueen and other brands before starting his own brand in 2007. He has attracted attention for his creations that combine traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology and materials, and has participated in the Paris Haute Couture Collection as an official guest since 2011. He also drew attention for designing a dress for musician Björk.
