UNITED NUDE is hosting a pop-up shop in the promotional space on the second floor of the women's shoe department at Isetan Shinjuku Main Building. It will run until Monday, December 31st. The shop will carry the brand's Fall/Winter 2012 collection, as well as the "Step Mobius Pump" and two styles of "Eamz Ankle Bootie" with heels inspired by the chairs designed by Eames, available in four colors exclusive to Japan. Pre-orders are also being accepted for the "Mobius Hi," a 10-color design commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Spring/Summer 2013 collection. The pop-up shop will also feature original fixtures used in the brand's permanent store, known as the "Dark Shop." Works from past UNITED NUDE projects will also be on display, allowing visitors to experience the brand's unique worldview. United Nude is a shoe brand founded in 2003 by Rem D. Koolhaas, nephew of architect Rem Koolhaas, and British shoemaker Galahad Clark. Their innovative shoes, combining elegance and functionality with conceptual designs based on elements of architecture and art, are sold worldwide. Their first model, the "Möbius" shoe, was born from Rem's unrequited love. Its design, which incorporates a Möbius strip into its form, was highly praised and won the Rotterdan Design Award. This was the catalyst for the founding of the brand. In Japan, the brand opened its first store at Lumine Shinjuku in September of this year, followed by its second store at Hankyu Umeda Main Store in October. Since then, the brand has actively expanded its business, hosting pop-up shops at SPIRAL in Aoyama and MIDWEST Nagoya.
