The select shop Wut berlin in Omotesando, Tokyo, will be hosting an exhibition called "The Rust of Body Hair Can Be Heard in the Darkness" by Christina Culina, an artist who creates clothing, accessories, and spatial installations. The exhibition will run from November 1st to 10th.
This exhibition will feature a three-dimensional spatial installation made from hand-knitted rope, yarn, and knitting, as well as knitted items made from yarn of various textures and shapes, with a wide variety of feel and texture. The work was created based on the image of a scene in which "in the deep night, lush body hair makes a faint sound as it sways in the wind, illuminated by a faint light and sparkling."
Culina was born in Toyama Prefecture. Using yarn, cloth, and string, she hand-knits a wide variety of items, from accessories to spatial installations. In 2012, he designed the costumes for a commercial for the eyewear brand Zoff.
