Emporio Armani unveiled its first Swiss-made watch collection at Baselworld, the world's largest jewelry and watch fair.
Inspired by the elegance of the 1930s and 1940s, which Giorgio Armani loves, the collection elevates the design to a contemporary era. Finished with traditional Swiss watchmaking techniques, the "Melting Gold" series features warm cognac and gold dials, a crown adorned with a cabochon-cut quartz movement, and a choice of metal multi-link bracelet or leather strap, making it the brand's "confident creation." The lineup also includes "GLOWING ROSE," featuring a rose gold and gray color scheme and lizard or alligator straps; "BRIGHT MESH," featuring a metal bracelet where each link is hand-set, taking five times longer than usual; and the masculine limited edition "BLACK MAGIC," featuring a black matte velvet case and rubberized alligator strap. The women's version adds a touch of glamour to the simple design with exotic leather and diamond indices. Prices range from ¥87,000 to ¥168,000. Both quartz and automatic movements are available. The watches were released simultaneously worldwide at the Basel unveiling, and are available in Japan at Emporio Armani's four directly operated stores in Ginza, Aoyama, Osaka, and Nagoya, as well as other authorized retailers.
