Lacoste's popular French-made short-sleeved polo shirt, commonly known as the "Frelaco," which was first introduced in 1933, is making a complete comeback for the first time in 20 years.

The polo shirt is sewn from start to finish by artisans at the brand's own factory in Troyes, France. While the knitting method, thread count, and dyeing method remain the same, it has a handmade feel and comes with a "MADE IN FRANCE" tag. Because the knitting machine is different, the texture is slightly stiffer and drier than the current Japanese-made version. Available in 14 colors, the price is 16,000 yen. It will be available at select Lacoste stores.

In addition, pop-up stores will be open at BEAUTY&YOUTH UNITED ARROWS from April 29th to May 10th, at SHIPS from the nationwide launch on May 1st until the 15th, at EDIFICE until the 18th, and at some BEAMS stores from May 12th to the 25th.
