PUNYUS, a fashion brand produced by comedian Naomi Watanabe, opened its first store at SHIBUYA 109 on April 18th. PUNYUS offers a wide range of sizes, from one size fits all to size 6L, to ensure even plus-size girls can wear them. Watanabe is responsible for everything from planning to design, pursuing originality that transcends genres with the theme of "expressing a girl's emotions." On the opening day, Watanabe visited the store wearing a T-shirt with a girl's illustration printed on it and a white skirt. She personally served customers and held a special event exclusively for customers. Watanabe explained the creative process, saying, "I drew each design for the clothes in my spare time and tried them on multiple times until I was finished." She also explained her attention to detail, saying, "The larger the skirt size, the longer it is, making it more comfortable for plus-size girls. The pants also reach below the chest, providing ample coverage." In the future, he hopes to produce underwear and swimwear as well.

The pop and colorful items feature keywords such as "60s," "90s hip hop," "safari," and "Harajuku street," including prints of a "cat with rolled-up eyes" character that Watanabe himself drew, and the fried egg print that appears on the shopper celebrating the store's opening. Price ranges start from 3,900 yen for T-shirts, 4,900 yen for tops, and 3,900 yen for bottoms.

The brand is available at select WEGO stores, as well as through the online shop that opened on the same day. A Tokyo Skytree Solamachi store is also scheduled to open on April 25th.
