BACH, a Swiss-based outdoor brand founded in 1979, has released a Japan-exclusive apparel line. Journal Standard and textile manufacturer Teijin Frontier teamed up to create a "triple collaboration" approach, resulting in ultra-lightweight items. Furthermore, the items are made with Solotex®, a material that "restores wrinkles," offering functionality and a high level of "fashionability."
The appeal of this apparel line is introduced by a fashion designer active in the world of fashion. We'll delve into the line from both a male and female perspective. This time, we spoke with Yuko Nonoguchi, owner of SYAN, a popular hair salon in Harajuku.

Outerwear (¥27,000) / Bach
--First of all, what are your honest impressions after trying it on?
I tried on the men's size S, and it's perfect for girls who like it slightly oversized. The hood and pockets are large and cute. Salon work and hair and makeup work require ease of movement. This type is a hoodie, so it slips on easily, and the armholes are large, so you can move around comfortably.
--It's packable and easy to carry around
I ended up stuffing it pretty crumpled up (lol), but when I took it out of my bag, the wrinkles went back to normal in no time, which was amazing. That said, since it's a brand with outdoor origins, the wrinkles seem like they'll add to its charm.

--I heard that outdoor activities are one of your hobbies.
I don't do any serious mountain climbing, but I enjoy light trekking in the mountains when I have time off. This windbreaker has pockets that fit everything, so it looks very practical. The short, slightly street-inspired design is also cute.
--The backpack has zippers that open from both the top and bottom.
It's easy to access your belongings even while wearing it, which is a testament to the authentic brand's design (laughs). The capacity is just right, and I'd like to use it as an everyday bag. It fits comfortably around your shoulders, so it doesn't seem like it would be tiring.
--It seems like it would be useful for overnight trips too
It's definitely great for travel. If you roll it up small and put it in your bag, you don't have to worry if it suddenly starts raining because it's made of water-repellent material. The design is stylish too, so having an item like this is really helpful.

Outerwear (¥26,000), Backpack (¥23,500) / Bach
A single backpack can create a sporty look, but the apparel line offers a whole new level of enjoyment by deliberately wearing the men's sizes oversized. It seems like it will be useful in many situations, such as as the finishing touch to an outdoor style, as a ``flavor'' for a fashionable outfit, or as a piece that connects an active everyday life with a fashionable look.
