On April 25th, Yuushin Creation opened the third ASOKO general merchandise store on the basement floor of the NU Chayamachi shopping complex in Umeda, Osaka. This marks the company's first store in a commercial facility. The store is its largest to date, measuring 892.6 square meters. It offers approximately 1,700 items. The first store opened in Minami-Horie, Osaka, in March of last year, and the second in Harajuku in July. The company is set to open in the UMIE shopping complex in Kobe in July of this year. Akiko Niki, director of the company, explains, "We opened two free-standing stores last year, and this year we'll open two in-shop locations. This year, we want to establish a four-store system, combining free-standing and in-shop locations. After verifying this, we'll consider opening more stores." Of the 1,700 products, 30-40% are original items, including custom colors, while over 70% are sourced from other companies. Since the launch last year, there were no original products, but the proportion of original products has rapidly increased over the past year. Products are produced in China, Thailand, Indonesia, and other countries. Director Niki explains that this spring's lineup features "an increased variety of popular and best-selling items." The popular colorful masking tape lineup now includes 70 varieties, paper napkins 40 varieties, and toy erasers 40 varieties. Yuushin Creation will cease wholesale sales to other retailers this spring and summer, and "will focus on retail and distribution," according to Director Niki. The company plans to develop its low-cost SPA business, "Eaves," as its first pillar, "ASOKO" as its second pillar, and its existing women's SPA business, "Grande Bene," as its third pillar. The new store openings are part of the renovation of NU Chayamachi, which also sees the opening of drug and cosmetics shop Ainz & Tulpe on the basement floor, yoga studio YO・GAN on the seventh floor, and Japanese cafe chano-ma on the ninth floor.
