Apr 28, 2014

To celebrate its 90th anniversary, Italian high jeweler DAMIANI will open a pop-up shop in the Jewelry & Watch Promotion Space on the 4th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building from April 30th to May 6th.

A limited collection of 10 items from each decade, imported from Italy, will be available for order at the venue. The collection showcases modern takes on reissues of iconic jewelry from each decade, including the feather-motif "CHARLESTON" necklace from the 1920s (¥27.79 million), the geometric "OPTICAL" earrings from the 1960s (¥5.56 million), the "BLOOM" choker made of colorful flowers from the 1970s (¥4.53 million), the "TRIBUTE" ring from the 1980s featuring the brand logo in gemstones such as amethysts and diamonds (¥12.47 million), and the "DAMIANISSIMA" pendant from the 2010s featuring an orb surrounding Damiani's initial "D" (¥5.16 million). Each piece is limited to nine pieces worldwide. Additionally, a limited-edition cross motif necklace from the brand's signature "Belle Epoque" collection will be released, limited to 90 pieces, to celebrate the brand's 90th anniversary. Special footage featuring interviews with the Damiani family and a glimpse into the production process will also be released.

Damiani is a jewelry brand that dates back to 1924, when Enrico Grassi Damiani opened a jewelry workshop, and has since been run by his son Damiano, his wife Gabriella, and their children. The brand is involved in every step of the process, from creation to sales, with every detail handcrafted by artisans. The brand boasts strong connections with celebrities, with Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow serving as spokespeople, and its products also favored by Sophia Loren and Tilda Swinton.
