Shu Uemura releases double-sided sponge powder foundation. Foam pack and cleanser also available.

Feb 11, 2014

The cosmetics brand Shu Uemura is introducing new items, including powder foundation and cleansing oil. The Light Bulb UV Compact Foundation (14 refill colors available, ¥4,935 each, compact case with sponge, ¥1,365) is based on the same "oleo technology" that was at the heart of last year's The Light Bulb Fluid Foundation. The balanced blend of differently shaped powders creates a comfortable texture, while the sun protection has been enhanced to SPF30 PA+++. Ten colors will be released on February 7th, and four on the 14th. The double-sided sponge, The Light Bulb UV Compact Foundation Polishing Sponge (¥682), was developed specifically for this product. Craftsmen with over 20 years of knowledge and experience bonded two materials together to create this product. Apply foundation with the soft, skin-like sponge side, then fold it in half so that the skin-smooth fabric side, which has fine texture like skin, is on the outside and glide it over to create a glossy finish, easily achieving a beautiful finish.

Also available now are the "White Efficient Foam Mask" (60g/8,500 yen), a whitening carbonated foam mask that combines serum, pack, and cream, and the "Fresh Shine Clear Cleansing Oil" (150ml/2,800 yen, 450ml/7,500 yen), a cleansing oil with a smooth texture that also removes blackheads and shine.
