Learn feminine and cool eye makeup from Jill Stuart

Runway shows showcase cutting-edge fashion. We bring you makeup tips for this spring/summer season from the 2014 Spring/Summer collection. Our first look is from New York's JILL STUART.

Feminine and delicate dresses are mixed with cool spices like black lace and eyelets to create a woman of inner strength. The focus of this collection is on the eyes.

Four shades of eyeshadow are used. A highlight color with large, sparkling pearls is applied in a "C" shape to the inner corner of the eye, making the eyes appear larger and the whites of the eyes appear whiter. A beige base color that blends with the skin is applied to the entire eye socket, and cream eyeshadow is used to add an accent color from the outer corner to two-thirds of the eye. Finally, a brown shading color is layered along the eyeliner, creating a gradient that creates a three-dimensional look. Finally, a soft dusting of highlight color is applied all over the eye to add a touch of sparkle.

To create a look that exudes strength, the eyeliner is firmly drawn, filling in the gap between the upper and lower lashes and extending to the inside. By drawing the line so that it extends slightly beyond the outer corner of the eye and then slightly flicking it up at the end, the eyes appear wider, creating a powerful yet feminine look. Brown eye colors are easy to use to create a three-dimensional effect, but depending on how you use them, they can also make the eyes look dark, so the key is to tighten them up with eyeliner.

The makeup artist is Aaron De Mey and the hairstylist is Odile Gilbert.
