Saint Laurent is launching a new travel goods line, "Monogram," designed by Hedi Slimane.
The line consists of bags and accessories. The canvas fabric features a repeated YSL logo. The logo was designed by artist A.M. Cassandre in 1961. The three colors, black, dark brown, and light brown, emphasize the balance of relief and shadow.
The material is based on natural cotton, coated to impart the luster and strength required for leather products. The lining is a shiny material called "Saint Laurent Grosgrain." All items are embossed with the Saint Laurent signature in gold.
The men's and women's travel goods line features over 30 items, ranging from traditional bags such as suitcases and Boston bags to travel essentials and small leather goods. Men's basic items such as briefcases and totes in a wide range of sizes are also available. The collection will be launched on April 15th at the Saint Laurent shop on the 3rd floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building, and will be available at Omotesando, Hankyu Men's Tokyo, Osaka and Kobe Daimaru stores from the 19th.
