To celebrate the Japanese release of Disney's latest live-action film, "Beauty and the Beast," starring Emma Watson, the "Celebrating the Release of Disney's Live-Action Film 'Beauty and the Beast' - The World of Beauty and the Beast at GINZA MITSUKOSHI" event will be held from April 19th to May 9th at the Ginza Terrace Terrace Court on the 9th floor of Ginza Mitsukoshi and the women's goods section on the 1st floor.
"Beauty and the Beast," which will be released on April 21st, is a live-action adaptation of the timeless Disney animation classic of the same name. Emma Watson plays Belle, who accepts that she is "different from others" and lives her own life, while Dan Stevens plays the Beast, who loses sight of his own self-worth because of his "different" appearance, and the story depicts the miracle that occurs when these two polar opposites meet. The exhibition will feature Belle's elegant dress, the Beast's gorgeous costume, and other items used in the film, including the bell jar, an important motif in the story, set against a backdrop reminiscent of the famous "ballroom" scene, allowing visitors to enjoy the world of Beauty and the Beast. A total of 300 Beauty and the Beast-related merchandise items will also be on sale. Of these, 50 are from the live-action film, and the lineup includes items featuring characters such as teapots and mugs, as well as handkerchiefs, pouches, accessories, and umbrellas, all of which express the world of the film. The costume exhibition will end on May 1st, and from the 2nd, a photo spot featuring motion posters of Emma Watson and other cast members will be available.
