Diptyque releases new lavender and geranium fragrance

Apr 9, 2014

Parisian fragrance brand Diptyque will release two new floral fragrances on April 16th.

"EAU DE LAVANDE" (Eau de Toilette 100ml/12,000 yen, roll-on type 20ml/5,000 yen) is a blend of three types of lavender native to France, including rare lavender absolute (the final essential oil) from Provence. Spices such as coriander, nutmeg, and cinnamon leaves are also added. The bottle and packaging feature an image of lavender flowers and a fountain, a symbol of Provence. "GERANIUM ODORATA" (Eau de Toilette 100ml/12,000 yen, Roll-on type 20ml/5,000 yen) is a fusion of floral African geranium extracts from Egypt and woody Bourbon geranium extracts from Reunion Island, France. Accents include bergamot, green cardamom, tonka beans, and pink pepper. The packaging features a red line in the center and an illustration of a geranium flower and a crane ("geranios" in Greek), the name of which is derived from the resemblance of the flower's beak to the crane's. Both types are available at Diptyque Aoyama and other boutiques nationwide.
