Diptyque and minä perhonen have collaborated to create three new fragrance candles. The scents, inspired by the original poems of minä perhonen designer Akira Minagawa, evoke a delicate, poetic world. The ink-drawn packaging illustrations were also created by Minagawa himself. CIEL combines rice steam and iris with the nostalgic sweet scent of rose. JOIE is a refreshing scent of delicate wildflowers mixed with the scent of rose. INFINI is a mysterious fragrance that harmonizes wood, incense, and spices. Each scent is priced at 7,875 yen. A set of mini candles (10,500 yen) will also be available. All scents will be available for pre-sale at Isetan Shinjuku on Wednesday, March 6th.
This collaboration was made possible by the launch of "Re-Style Gift," a gift shop on the 3rd floor fashion floor of Isetan Shinjuku Main Store. Diptyque was founded in Paris in 1961 as a textile boutique, and has since continued to produce its own collections of textiles and accessories, as well as fragranced candles and eau de toilette.
The minä perhonen brand was launched in 1995 based on original fabrics by Minagawa. In addition to fashion, the brand produces a wide range of products including interior design, tableware, and stationery. It is also known for providing designs to Liberty and collaborating with Italy's Richard Ginori.
