Ichibanboshi Village, a vast pasture on the outskirts of Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture, has begun accepting reservations for its upcoming camping season. Boasting a vast area roughly the size of 13 Tokyo Domes and surrounded by lush forests, this expansive pasture will once again transform into a campground for a limited time from April 22nd to August 27th. The site offers "auto camping," where you can pitch a tent next to your car, "day camping," and day trips with BBQs and other activities. Starting in 2017, "long-stay camping" will be available, allowing you to camp from check-out until 6:00 PM the following day. Furthermore, the site offers a high degree of freedom, with open fires permitted and free sites. There are also plenty of areas for children and adults to enjoy, including opportunities to interact with animals like ponies and cows, a treehouse, and a rhinoceros beetle zone. Camping equipment is available for rental, so you can enjoy camping empty-handed.
The fees for day camping are 1,500 yen for adults (middle school students and above) and 500 yen for children (elementary school students and above), 1,500 yen for car camping parking (per car), 2,000 yen for car camping for adults, 1,000 yen for children, and 2,000 yen for parking, and 3,000 yen for adults, 1,000 yen for children, and 2,500 yen for parking, for long stay camping.
Reservations can be made on the official website (http://star-village.jp/).
