Gallery KATA, located on the second floor of Ebisu Liquidroom, will host Japan's largest interactive exhibition, "MUSIC ILLUSTRATION AWARDS 2017," from May 4th to 7th. Now in its seventh year, the exhibition brings together 50 artists and illustrators who contributed illustrations to CD and record jacket packaging released in 2016, including Akiko Ando, Hiroyuki Ishii, Hide Kaneko, and Tombo Sensei. The artists will be creating original and stimulating new works on 12-inch vinyl record sleeves. Visitors will also be given voting tickets to vote for their favorite works from the exhibit. The artist with the most votes at the end of the exhibition will be awarded the "Best Music Illustrator," making this an exhibition that audiences can enjoy participating in. Additionally, impactful works that will make you want to buy them just for the cover will also be available for purchase.
