A pop-up celebrating the launch of Gucci Eyewear is being held at Continuer, an eyewear select shop in Ebisu, Tokyo, in the adjacent Continuer Extra Space, a shop and event space, until May 2nd.
The highlight of the pop-up is the "Hollywood Forever" collection, which has recently been released in advance at limited stores worldwide. Four styles have been released, inspired by the colors and shapes of the 1970s: "GG0145S 001" (155,000 yen), "GG0143S 001" (132,000 yen), "GG0144S 001" (155,000 yen), and "GG0146S 001" (124,000 yen). The collection, named after Alessandro Michele's visit to the legendary Los Angeles venue "Hollywood Forever" to attend a party in memory of musician Johnny Ramone, features a model symbolizing this season, appearing on the runway and in the season visuals. The collection also boasts one of Japan's largest lineups, centered around new Spring/Summer 2017 pieces. Another highlight is the special display, created in collaboration with Gucci's creative team.
