
On April 16th, Yoyogi VILLAGE by kurkku will host "GOOD SUNDAY MARKET × Reborn-Art Festival 2017," an event where you can enjoy "art," "music," and "food."
At the event venue, booths introducing "Reborn-Art Festival 2017," which will be held mainly in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture from July 22nd to September 10th, will include French artist JR's art project "INSIDE OUT PROJECT," the Ishinomaki Umaimono Marche launched by 10 food-related companies in Ishinomaki, and Coffee Kobo Ishikawa, which roasts its own fresh coffee beans and sells them as one-drip coffee. Other exhibitors include Kinoya Ishinomaki Suisan, which offers canned goods made with ingredients like miso and soy sauce from Miyagi Prefecture and raw sugar from Kikaijima Island, FUNADE, an original brand from Ishinomaki in Tohoku that uses recycled fishing flags from the disaster-stricken area, Sanriku Soap Studio KURIYA, which sells soap made with natural ingredients from Onagawa Town, Miyagi Prefecture, and Fisherman Japan, which is based in one of the world's three largest fishing grounds and proposes a future for the fishing industry that will continue into the next generation.
Additionally, Kotori Flower Shop, a florist based in Kodaira, Tokyo; temps des coloris, which sells sweets and baked goods with the theme of "cute and delicious snacks for everyone"; m.Pupen, which creates handmade art flowers with the theme of "wearing color"; and Majurque, a florist tucked away in the back alleys of Yoyogi.
Other events include a workshop by Kotori Flower Shop to make a wreath using fresh autumn-colored hydrangeas (5,000 yen/flower and material costs included), and a workshop by UMAHANA to make a lei using coral pink fresh flowers with Otani Yukio as the instructor (8,000 yen/material costs included).
