The photo exhibition "Vineland" by two LA-based photographers will be held for the first time in Japan at Gallery VOILLD!

May 16, 2017

Gallery VOILLD in Nakameguro, Tokyo, will be hosting a photo exhibition titled "Vineland," by two Los Angeles-based photographers, from June 2nd to 30th. This exhibition, the first by photographers Clint Woodside and Dan Monick to be held in Japan, takes its title from the name of a street in the San Fernando Valley, a rundown neighborhood on the outskirts of Los Angeles. Through the photographs, visitors can see a variety of moments captured from the two photographers' respective perspectives, from casual scenes tinged with nostalgia to sad cityscapes lingering with the scent of past glory, a world that differs from the image of Los Angeles we all imagine. The exhibition will feature approximately 20 prints of the two photographers' original photographs, and limited-edition merchandise, such as zines and T-shirts, will also be available for purchase.
