On September 24th, KEITA MARUYAMA will reopen its Aoyama flagship store (4-25-10 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo) as the concept store "MAISON de MARUYAMA." The redesigned store, inspired by the brand's desire to create a space that is not just its flagship store but also one that is uniquely its own, is also a place for Keita Maruyama. The store will also feature "THE SPACE," edited by Keita Maruyama every two months, showcasing collaborative items and exhibitions with inspiring designers and artists. From the opening until October 18th, the lineup will include items specially created with FACETASM, PORTER CLASSIC, DEPT designer eri, portrait embroiderer yuccomiiico, and others. Store-exclusive items will also be available at all times. Items include Keita Maruyama's signature Chinese dresses, clutches made from the brand's popular sukajan jacket material, and tote bags featuring the Maruyama logo by artist Akira Uno. Furthermore, the store will also feature original merchandise printed with illustrations created specially for the brand by SHUN SUDO, a brand Maruyama is currently paying close attention to, as well as Japanese tableware, washi paper items, and other items that make perfect gifts. Maruyama commented, "It's been 22 years since I opened my small atelier and shop in Nishi-Azabu, and 20 years since we moved to our current location in Aoyama. With this renovation, I wanted to create not only a flagship store for the KEITA MARUYAMA brand, but also a place that is truly Maruyama. People, things, and events.
