
A pop-up shop for online bookstore Flotsam Books and a group exhibition featuring 10 artists are running at QUIET NOISE arts and break in Setagaya, Tokyo, until September 19th.
The pop-up shop and group exhibition are part of a collaborative project between Quiet Noise Gallery director Ryusuke Inoue and Flotsam Books owner Takayuki Kobayashi. The project is scheduled to be held irregularly in the future, and the first installment, "dix vol.01," features a group exhibition of powerful photographs by 10 artists on the theme of "Untitled."
The participating artists are Masaho Anotani, Kasumi Nagata, Kohei Kanno, Yoko Kusano, Yukito Kono, Naoyuki Takagi, Hiroshi Takagi, Daisuke Tanaka, Yosuke Torii, and Yusuke Yamatani. The flyer design will be done by director S, who is responsible for the art direction and design of the tabloid photo book "100 Views of Shinjuku" as well as serving as director of the magazine "Studio Voice."
