Gargantua, a boutique located on the first floor of the Imperial Hotel Tokyo's main building, will be selling Halloween-themed pumpkin sweets, prepared dishes, bread, and gift items such as chocolates in Halloween-only packaging from October 1st to 31st.
There are two types of sweets available. The Pumpkin Chiffon Cake (750 yen) is a pumpkin-flavored chiffon cake sandwiched between caramel-flavored whipped cream, with fragrant caramelized almonds and hazelnuts adding texture. The Pumpkin Tart (750 yen) is a tart baked with pumpkin-flavored damande dough, topped with caramelized walnuts and pine nuts and filled with pumpkin-flavored custard cream. Both are fun sweets topped with bat-shaped chocolates and other items. The prepared food lineup includes "Pumpkin Potage" (700 yen), a soup characterized by its mellow flavor and gentle sweetness of pumpkin, and "Pumpkin Scones" (4 pieces for 600 yen), made with pumpkin puree kneaded into the dough and accented with sweetly simmered pumpkin. Other gift items include smooth pumpkin pudding (3 pieces for 1,000 yen), bite-sized milk chocolate "Plate Chocolate" (9 pieces for 600 yen / 18 pieces for 1,000 yen), and a "Cookie Assortment" (boxed for 900 yen, canned for 2,000 yen) in Halloween-only packaging. The "Pumpkin Chiffon Cake" and "Pumpkin Tart" will also be available at the "Rendezvous Lounge" on the first floor of the Imperial Hotel Tokyo Main Building.
