A collection of "everyday items"! "Ginza Handicraft Direct Sales Store" to be held at Matsuya Ginza

Sep 27, 2016

The annual "Ginza Handicraft Direct Sales" event, showcasing a wide variety of artists and craftspeople from across Japan, will be held from September 28th to October 3rd at the Event Square on the 8th floor of Matsuya Ginza.
Now in its eighth year, the event will showcase a wide variety of works by craftspeople who continue to create "everyday items" based on their own values, uninfluenced by trends. A variety of works, including pottery, porcelain, lacquerware, castings, woodworking, bamboo crafts, stationery, and accessories, will be sold in a direct sales style with explanations from the makers themselves.
During the event, a special event called "Futsukaichi" will be held, showcasing unique craftspeople for two days each. The "Tamaki Niime Exhibition," featuring works by designer Tamaki Niime, will also be held in the event space on the 5th floor of Matsuya Ginza Marronnier Dori Building.
