Quil Fait Bon releases limited edition tart inspired by Renoir's masterpiece

Apr 21, 2016

The "Renoir from the Musée d'Orsay and Musée de l'Orangerie," showcasing the full scope of Impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir, will be held at the National Art Center, Tokyo in Roppongi from April 27 to August 22. To commemorate the occasion, fruit tart specialty shop Quil Fait Bon will be selling cakes inspired by Renoir's masterpieces from April 27 to May 30. The tart, "Renoir's Tart 'Moulin Bleu' - Berry and Blood Orange Flavor" (¥844 per slice, ¥8,424 per whole cake, tax included), is inspired by Renoir's masterpiece, "Ball at the Moulin de la Galette," which is being exhibited in Japan for the first time. Like a painting dotted with blue, the tart evokes a joyful world of sunlight filtering through the trees, bustling crowds, and more. The tart's distinctive features are the vibrant colors of its generous berry and blood orange garnishes and the refreshing taste of its cassis mousse. It will be available exclusively at Quil Fait Bon Grand Maison Ginza, Aoyama, Yokohama, and Tokyo Skytree Town Solamachi stores. In addition, from April 21st to May 30th, Grand Maison Ginza will be hosting a panel exhibition displaying photographs of works exhibited at the Renoir exhibition.
