G-Star RAW held "Ocean Night" during New York Fashion Week in collaboration with Bionic Yarn, a company that develops and manufactures recycled yarn and fabric, and Parley for the Oceans, a collaborative community that aims to prevent ocean destruction.

The venue was a historic building on Wall Street, and images of flowing water were projected onto the entire space, including the floor, ceiling, and walls, creating an underwater atmosphere.

The brand also presented its 2015 Spring/Summer collection, the second in the "RAW for the Oceans" collection. Pharrell Williams, who is collaborating with the project, appeared on stage with the models and commented, "Denim is one of the most beloved and traditional materials on the planet. We've begun a new era with Raw for the Ocean." He called for increased awareness of the problem of marine pollution and promoted the collection as a solution to the problem to consumers.

Raw for the Ocean is the culmination of a long-term effort to innovate denim while addressing marine pollution caused by plastic dumping, in collaboration with Bionic Yarn and G-Star RAW. The first collection will be available in G-Star RAW stores and online from September 6th.
