Roppongi Hills' Christmas events kick off in early November with the illuminations on Roppongi Keyakizaka Street.
The illuminations along Keyakizaka, which stretches for approximately 400 meters, include the white and blue "SNOW & BLUE" illuminations that have become a winter staple in Roppongi, the warm "CANDLE & RED" illuminations introduced last year that feature red and warm-colored LEDs, and the new "Hidden Heart" illumination. Two hidden hearts, each 2 meters in diameter, will be installed and illuminated several times per hour.
A newly designed, approximately 8-meter-tall symbolic tree will be unveiled at 66 Plaza on November 18th. The delicate, lace-like symbolic tree emits light from within, revealing a variety of expressions depending on how it shines, from white and red to rainbow colors and amber. Christmas decorations by Komatsu Kosei, who also worked on the Ueno Royal Museum's "Illusion of Light - Magical Museum," will debut at West Walk in mid-November. The chandelier, with its countless sparkling feathers, rotates thanks to updrafts. The eighth annual O-Yane Plaza Christmas Market will open on November 29th. Eleven stores, including Käthe Wohlfahrt, famous for its year-round selection of traditional German Christmas items, will be participating for the first time, offering a lineup of over 1,000 items, including gift items, German cuisine, and sweets. The Roppongi Hills Observation Deck will collaborate with the "World of Tim Burton" exhibition at the Mori Arts Center Gallery, which will begin on November 1st. The cute yet slightly spooky "GURU GURU TREE by THE WORLD OF TIM BURTON" will be on display from December 1st. Additionally, the J-WAVE CHRISTMAS BAR will be hosting a special live performance themed on "SURPRISE!", as well as a special menu in collaboration with the Tim Burton exhibition. The Mado Lounge restaurant located inside the corridor will also be serving menus made with the finest ingredients. All of these will be available until December 25th.
