The watch brand LONGINES will be holding the "Longines Photo Contest 2014 - Conquest Classic," a photo contest themed around "elegance." Submissions are accepted from October 1st to November 7th. The contest calls for submissions that capture the elegance inherent in any subject, including horse racing, which Longines supports, as well as people, animals, and nature. In addition to a single photo category, there will also be a group photo category consisting of three photos. Anyone residing in Japan is welcome to submit, regardless of professional or amateur status, age, gender, or nationality. Judges will include photographers Mikihiko Anbashi, Roland Kirishima, and Masako Nakagawa. A Grand Prize and an Elegance Prize will be awarded to one winner in each category. Top winners will receive a "Conquest Classic" watch, featuring a sporty yet chic design. The design is faithful to the brand's themes of "tradition," "elegance," and "performance," and features an automatic caliber. It is a contemporary item.

Longines not only provides the official timepiece for sporting events around the world, but also acts as a partner of international sports federations. It is also known as the supplier of the Longines Prize for Elegance, which is awarded to athletes who have shown elegant performances in horse racing, equestrian sports, gymnastics, etc.
