Sep 19, 2014

On November 22nd, Amana will open "&IMA," a multi-purpose space for its ongoing media project "IMA," on the 7th floor of Barneys New York Yokohama.

The space, whose interior was designed by interior stylist Masato Kawai, is based on the concept of "a home for enjoying photography." The entire space is designed to resemble a single home, with features to help people enjoy photography in all aspects of their daily lives. It will feature three zones that can be enjoyed by people of all ages: "Living," which offers a selection of art photographs, photo books, and photo frames collected from Japan and abroad, proposing a lifestyle that incorporates photography into interior décor; "Studio," a photo studio where you can experience artistic photo shoots by professional photographers; and "Kitchen," which serves food and drinks such as sandwiches and smoothies.

The service also offers hands-on, hands-on services that utilize the latest digital technology, such as a print service that allows you to print photos taken in a photo studio or stock photos onto a variety of items such as clothes, accessories, and sweets to create original goods, a 3D service that allows you to create your own miniature figure, and 360-degree rotating photography.

IMA is a media outlet that has seen a variety of developments, including holding photo exhibitions, collaborating with Isetan Shinjuku, and opening the "IMA CONCEPT STORE" in Roppongi in March 2014. Future developments are sure to attract attention.
