COMPOLUX, the women's import department on the third floor of Seibu Shibuya's B Building, will be renovating and reopening on September 9th, adding men's fashion and becoming a combined men's and women's shop. This independently managed, integrated import select shop is a rare development, even for a department store. The combined store was decided upon due to the high number of couples among its clientele and in response to customer requests. The floor space will be expanded from 330 square meters to 500 square meters. The interior design will be handled by nendo, a design studio led by Oki Sato, and will have an open, garden-themed interior. 15 men's brands will be introduced, including BLK DNM, ALEXANDER WANG, TOD SNYDER, and UNITED NUDE. Women's items will also be available from CARVEN, KENZO, 3.1 Phillip Lim, and rag & bone.
In addition, as an opening event, the store will be holding the "Kathy Lo x OVERSEA PHOTO EXHIBITION 'PARK'," an exhibition of photos taken in New York exclusively for Comporax by photographer Kathy Lo, who has also worked on lookbooks for Opening Ceremony, from September 9th to 22nd. Limited items such as T-shirts printed with her works will also be on sale during the period.
