MARELLA, part of the Max Mara group, will be selling a limited-time collaboration with artist and fashion illustrator Marcela Gutierrez.
The powerful watercolor illustrations, created in collaboration with Marcela, are interpretations of Milla Jovovich's photographs taken by photography duo Inez & Vinoodh for the 2014-15 Autumn/Winter campaign. The powerful use of color expresses energy, representing the Marella image of a woman living a positive life.
This time, items such as T-shirts, dresses, and tight skirts will be released, featuring abstract prints in red and blue and portraits of Milla. The collection will be available at Marella boutiques from September 17th to 23rd, and customers who purchase over 30,000 yen will receive a free pouch from the collaboration. Born in Florida in 1978, Marcella grew up in Guatemala and lived in various places, including Paris, London, and Mexico. Wanting to please her father, who is also a painter, she made her debut as a painter at the age of 35, and has worked on the interior design of the Prada flagship store, and has clients including brands such as Swarovski and Shiseido, as well as the Spanish and Arabic editions of Harper's Bazaar.
