FACETASM and Yakushimaru Etsuko have launched a joint project called "FACETASM YKSMR" and announced the launch of new collaborative items.
As a musician, Yakushimaru Etsuko has produced drawings, installations, and other works alongside her work on projects such as "Theory of Relativity" and "Yakushimaru Etsuko and d.v.d." She has previously worked with FACETASM, creating live costumes and collaborative merchandise.
The first part of the project will see the release of five T-shirts (7,000 yen) and a cap (7,560 yen). Each piece expresses Yakushimaru's worldview through drawings, incorporating FACETASM designs from the 2014-2015 Autumn/Winter season. At the start of the project, Yakushimaru Etsuko commented, "I once hit my head and saw an unknown town in a flashback. It felt nostalgic even though I didn't know it, and even though it was almost a blank space, I knew there was a history there. I'm beginning the excavation of ruins in a flashback to the future."

FACETASM designer Hiromichi Ochiai also commented, "Last year, the album 'TOWN AGE' was released. The word 'TOWN' had a huge impact on my state of mind at the time. And the collaboration that begins here is the TOWN feeling that Yakushimaru and I share."

Five T-shirts will be available for presale at the Soretaiseiriron live concert "Diffraction I" to be held at Tokyo Dome City Hall on September 5th. They will then be sold nationwide, along with the caps, from early October at TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS and other locations.
