H&M will release its new denim collection, "Conscious Denim," on October 2nd. Ahead of the launch, the brand has unveiled visuals by model Jessica Michibata and photographer Leslie Kee.
The collection pursues sustainable materials and considers the environmental impact of production processes, including water and energy consumption during the washing process. The result is a full collection in deep indigo tones.
In creating the collection, H&M adopted the standards of Spanish denim consultant Jeanologia, testing the denim washing process, including water and energy consumption, and met Jeanologia's high standards. Each item also comes with a "Clever Care" label, which provides instructions on environmentally friendly garment care.
The women's line includes essential styles this season, including low-waisted, high-waisted, and skinny jeans, as well as items made from conscious materials that can be worn like denim. The knit jogger jeans combine the softness of sweatpants, while the Tencel boiler suit has a sharp, slim finish.
The men's lineup includes raw denim five-pocket jeans, denim jackets, twill worker jackets, and wool coats. A variety of styles are also offered for kids, including jeans and dungarees.
In Japan, the collection will be sold at H&M HARAJUKU, H&M SHINJUKU, H&M Nagoya Matsuzakaya, and H&M SHINSAIBASHI. Visuals by Jessica and Leslie will also be featured in these five stores.
