A sacai pop-up shop has opened at the Shinjuku Isetan Men's Building. It will be open until Thursday, January 17, 2013. In addition to the 2013 Spring/Summer collection, the shop will also feature four limited-edition styles: a trench coat, a Chesterfield jacket, a peacoat, and a shirt, each available in two colors. "We've interpreted the 'classic' theme of the Men's Building in our own way. These items are not even available at the Aoyama store," commented designer Chitose Abe. Based on the brand concept of "design based on everyday life," sacai offers a new classic style by incorporating timeless classic pieces like cardigans, V-neck sweaters, jackets, and shirts, and by incorporating materials, items, patterns, and styles to create a different, more elegant look. The 2013 Spring/Summer collection features lightweight materials and a refreshing color palette of navy, gray, and beige, complemented by bright blues, reds, and pinks, perfect for spring. Items that symbolize this season include suits made of summer corduroy and madras check, duffle jackets that combine chambray, gingham check, and denim, and coats and vests made from a combination of woven fabric and knit.
