AOYAMA SAKE FLEA, a sake market offering a wide variety of sake, will be held on March 5th and 6th in the United Nations University courtyard in Aoyama, Tokyo.
This year marks the fourth time the event has been held, and 17 elite breweries will be participating, the largest number ever. From fresh seasonal sake to rare sakes rarely found in the Kanto region, you can enjoy sake while hearing directly from the brewers about the concept and creation story behind each sake. This year, original sake cups (approximately 45ml for 300 yen) will be available as admission tickets, as well as sake tasting tickets (5 cups for 1,000 yen, 10 cups for 2,000 yen). Advance tickets for 20 and 40 cups of sake tasting tickets are also available. Also on the 5th, a special sake snack set (3,000 yen) featuring vegetables from Nihonbashi's soba kaiseki restaurant Teuchi Soba Muto and natural farm TOM in Narita, Chiba Prefecture will be available for purchase, limited to 50 servings. Other events include a workshop proposing the perfect pairing of six types of sake with bread for a weekend lunch. Participating breweries include six newcomers: Yonezuru Brewery from Yamagata Prefecture, Hagino Brewery from Miyagi Prefecture, Wakakoma Brewery from Tochigi Prefecture, Kubota Brewery from Kanagawa Prefecture, Motosaka Brewery from Mie Prefecture, and Komatsu Brewery from Oita Prefecture, as well as Hachinohe Brewery from Aomori Prefecture and Aoki Brewery from Niigata Prefecture.
