British Market Kitchen, an event to enjoy British food, will be held on May 14th and 15th at the BRITISH MADE Aoyama flagship store and adjacent showroom in Aoyama, Tokyo.

During the event, a variety of chefs and instructors will gather to hold cooking classes on British cuisine and sweets. You can learn about unique dishes, from modern British cuisine to traditional British cuisine prepared by the chef at the British Ambassador's residence in Japan.

On May 14th, there will be a "Fudge Making Workshop" from 11:30am, a "Modern British Salad Popular at the London Main Store" from 1:30pm, and a "British Ploughman's Lunch" from 5:30pm. On May 15th, there will be a talk event by food journalist Saito Riko from 12pm titled "British Food - From the 1980s to the Present", as well as cooking classes on the traditional British dish "Sultana Scones" from 2:30pm and "Coronation Chicken Salad" from 4:30pm.

Each cooking class is scheduled to have a seated capacity of 25 people. Participation fees are 1,000 yen on the 14th and 2,000 yen on the 15th, with the talk event on May 15th costing 1,000 yen including one drink. Standing room only on the day of the event is free. Take-out menus, kitchen goods, books and more will also be on sale. The selection will include books by Shonan Tsutaya Bookstore, kitchenware and tableware such as T.G Green Cornishware with its distinctive striped design by CASALAGO, daily teas from Yorkshire in Northern England that are a purveyor to the British Royal Family, and drinks such as British beers by THE OLD ROCK.
